Given an integer array nums
and an integer k
, return the kth
largest element in the array.
Note that it is the kth
largest element in the sorted order, not the kth
distinct element.
Can you solve it without sorting?
Example 1:
Input: nums = [3,2,1,5,6,4], k = 2
Output: 5
Example 2:
Input: nums = [3,2,3,1,2,4,5,5,6], k = 4
Output: 4
Constraints:
1 <= k <= nums.length <= 105
104 <= nums[i] <= 104
My Solution:
import heapq
class Solution:
def findKthLargest(self, nums: List[int], k: int) -> int:
heapq.heapify(nums)
return heapq.nlargest(k,nums)[-1]
Time Complexity: O(nlogn)
Space Complexity: O(n) : length of the heap
